4 days... get excited!!!

I am tired of papers, projects and computers. I am over school for the year, and yet I still have 3 papers (3-5 pgs and 1 that is 8-10pgs) , 2 projects, and a presentation left. "And frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" (Gone With the Wind). BUT there is only 4 more days until a great day in the year... :D I know I am a super nerd for being so excited but so it is...I am going out to dinner with some friends and family on Thursday and on Cinco de Mayo will be yet another day to celebrate! yay! You just gotta love birthdays.

I feel as though I am split into 3 equal parts right now... part of me wants to come home, another part wants to stay out here, and the last part wants to go back to Mexico. I'm not really sure what to expect when I go home... I know it will be different and whatnot but I don't think I really know how to express what I have experienced. Someone once told me "time changes when your whole life does" and how true it is. It doesn't seem like just 4 months of living on the border. My time in Mexico flew by and some nights I wish I could just wake up hearing spanish and mi mama waking me up for a hot breakfast with my liquado de platano. It is something that I want to talk about to everyone and anyone who is interested. And I make an emphasis on interested... there is nothing worse than talking to someone about an experience because they asked only out of politeness... I feel like I don't matter when that happens, so please if you don't want to know don't ask. But this goes the other way too.. if you are interested ask questions and lots of them!! :)

I have learned a lot this semester about so much stuff... the world and how it looks so different in a differnt part of the world as well a lot about me and what I can handle myself and how I really want to see the world and how other countries and communities view the world. So here I sit, listening to Cat Stevens, procrastinating writting papers and thinking about where to go in the next chapter of this book I call my life...

!Hasta luego amigos!

You don't have any pictures on your site of the fam--I mean Norita, Hugo, and Bill... I want to see some of them, too! Man, you really fit in with your dark skin, eyes, and hair... I am such a gringa--to think we came from the same folks--or did we...?
