Exciting times in the Triangle!

after my little mishap with the campus police this week has turned out to be pretty good. I know it isn't over but so far so good. Monday I hung out with Crystal at the Lake Johnson Pool where I used to go when I was 5. Lots o' fun there! (there were some girls that totally looked like they were 16 or so... def. 12.. whoa! and they took a picture of Daniel(Crystals BF)... haha!)

And yesterday, Grace and I went to the HISTORY MUSEUM for an assignment for Grace's class. It was fun. I love going to museums that are free. Actually, I enjoy anything that's free. So after we came back and took a mini nap, we went to see history in the making. Yes kids, Grace and I went with her Big to see the NORTH CAROLINA HURRICANES and the STANLEY CUP at the RBC center. That's right. I cheered and I hooted and I hollered for these players who brought back the highest award in hockey. It was fun, I have to admit, even for someone who didn't watch the game and didn't know anyone on the team. I had my moment while walking to the parade where I showed that I had no idea... this car drove by and on the window it said "Thank the Lord we have Cam Ward". Well, I ask What's a cam ward? Grace answers, I think it's a person. OH! Taylor says, It's the goalie and don't say that to loud. hahaha... oh good times with my MC girls.

Tonight, Anne and I are getting together with Haley from BL to volunteer for the organization ONE at the DMB concert here in town!!! HOLLA!!! FREE SHOW!!!! I am so stoked! I love Dave and I get to see him for FREE! WHAT WHAT!!! ( To find out more about ONE go to www.ONE.org) It helps fight hunger, poverty, and HIV/AIDS to name a few.

Well, I need to get going...Hay is going to call me any minute! Sweet! I'm so excited to hang out with some of my BLinks crew!!!

Hasta luego Amigos!

who knew?

So after an eventful day at early registration on saturday june 17, I had made plans to go out with some friends. Not to much different than my life in CT... well this night turned out to be less than interesting. We have plans to go to a club in Durham and get lost for close to 2 hours. fun. We eventually find the club about and hour before they close, so we spent about an hour dancing and well realizing that I enjoy bars more than clubs. After we leave and drive home with no incidents, I arrive back to Meredith, where I am staying until Thursday with Grace, my suitemate for next year. Well, my camcard doesn't work and won't let me into the building. So, doing what I always do, I call the campus security and ask them to let me in the door. Officer Fuller comes and grills me about why I am here if I am "not a student". (Apparently, if you aren't currently taking classes you aren't a student at Meredith. News to everyone that I tell this too.) So, because I am not a student and am staying with a girl that is a student but was home to celebrate Father's Day I had spend some quality time with Officer Lucky until Crystal came and got me... did I mention this all happened at 4am? Crystal is a saint and I owe her more than my life... oh yea and she's the shit. So, apparently I was breaking an honor code. who knew? Again, no one did until I told them. Well, everything is okay now and no charges will be held against me. I just have more grey hairs now... thanks MC.

summer time and the livin' is easy...

So, I know it has been forever and a day since I have updated my blog. But in my defence, my parents have really slow connection and I honestly just don't ever remember. Plus, my life hasn't really been that exciting.

For the past month I have gone out almost every night to bars or to my friends house. It has been fun catching up and hanging out with my friends I haven't seen in years. I always forget that I actually know people here. Other than going out, I have been on the job hunt. Unfortunatly so one seems to be hiring at this time. So, I wait. Although, yesterday I did get a call from the Mystic Marriot Hotel and Spa to set up an interview... holla! Hopefully this will go well. Goodness knows I need a job. Last weekend was fun. The YALE/HARVARD regatta was in full swing and even though Harvard took the races yet again, it was a good time. I actually met 4 of them this year. sweet.

So, after a oh so exciting month in the wonderful town of Gales Ferry, things are starting to pick up. On Monday I did join a softball team over in Colchester, CT. It is slow pitch which I have not played since I was 9 and in 3rd grade. But it was fun. We won and we have another game tonight. It was good to play again. Tomorrow I am leaving for Raleigh, NC for some things for school. I will be down there for 12 days, and I think I actually might die of the heat, it has been so cold up here. haha. So, hopefully when I get back to the GF my life might have more of a meaning and structure to it. Although, if my bank didn't run out I have to say... this is the life... BEACH, BOOZE, BUDDIES. I can get used to this...

Until next time kids...
